Joe began is trapshooting career in 1964 registering a total of 1600 targets. Joe’s highest averages to date are Singles – 99.42 in 1988, Handicap – 91.84 in 1966, Doubles – 94.00 in 1985. By the end of the 2011 target year, Joe had registered 70,350 Singles targets, 60,650 Handicap targets, and 39,700 Doubles targets. Joe became competitive early in his shooting career winning the Michigan State Singles Championship in 1976. As his shooting career matured, Joe tied and/or won in every class and category available to him. As is evident by this partial list of major shooting accomplishments, Joe has won at every level of State and National competition and has represented the Michigan Trapshooting Association and its membership as a gentleman trap shooter and friend to so many in the trapshooting fraternity.
