The 2026 MTA Fall Brawl is a one day youth trapshooting tournament at the Michigan Trapshooting Association home grounds. It is open to High School Seniors and younger who participate in AIM, the Michigan State High School Clay Target League, or the Scholastic Clay Target Program. Athletes compete for both individual and team trophies, awarded on the Lewis Class system. Spectators are welcome.
Every athlete shoots 100 targets and competes in both the individual and the team event. A team needs at least five athletes and there is no maximum, with the top five scores making up the team score. Competition targets are included in the entry fee. Athletes provide their own ammunition, which must meet gun club policies. Voice released targets are used on all fields where available.
Registration
Head coaches register their own athletes. Registration opened August 9 and closes Tuesday, September 1, 2026. There are no deadline extensions, and no athlete can be added or changed once a team has submitted its roster, so check the roster carefully before sending it.
Fees
The participation fee is $50 per student athlete and covers competition targets and an event t-shirt. Athletes who want their targets registered with the ATA add their ATA number on the registration form and $7 in daily fees. Athletes pay their team and the team pays the MTA, by credit card, debit card or check. Payment is due Tuesday, September 8, 2026 and is non refundable.
Trophies
Team trophies go to the Champion Team, the Runner up Team, and the top team in Classes AA, A, B, C and D. Individual trophies go to the Champion, the Runner up, and first through third place in each of Classes AA, A, B, C and D. Additional trophies are awarded for High Female Senior, High Male Senior and High Rookie.
