The Michigan Trapshooting Association is now hiring Scorekeepers, Setters, and Supervisors for the 2026 shooting season.

Employment opportunities are available across multiple spring, summer, and fall events. Scorekeepers and Setters must be age 13 or older, while Supervisors must be 18 or older. If you are interested in working one or more events, please click the link and complete the employment form.

Shortly after submitting, you will receive an email from ADP to complete required onboarding paperwork. Returning employees must also complete the form to ensure they have an active ADP account. Beginning this year, MTA will be utilizing ADP Time and Attendanceto schedule staff and track work hours.

Position Descriptions:

• Scorekeeper (13+) – Responsible for accurately recording scores during competition while maintaining focus and professionalism on the field.

• Setter (13+) – Assists with trap field operations, including loading and maintaining machines to ensure events run safely and efficiently.

• Supervisor (18+) – Oversees staff, assists with field operations, and serves as a point of contact to ensure smooth day-to-day event operations.

• SCTP Conference Trap Championship – May 2, 2026

• SCTP SW Conference Skeet & Sporting Clays Championship – May 16 & 17, 2026

• Great Lakes Grand – May 19 – 24, 2026

• SCTP State Championship Skeet & Sporting Clays (1st 100) – June 5 – 7, 2026

• High School State Championships – June 19 – 21, 2026

• SCTP State Championship Trap & Sporting Clays (2nd 100) – June 27 & 28, 2026

• Michigan State Shoot – June 30 – July 5, 2026

• National High School Championship – July 8 – 12, 2026

• Central Zone Shoot – July 23 – 26, 2026

• Fall Team Shoot – September 10 – 13, 2026

• Fall Brawl – September 19, 2026

This is a great opportunity as a first job, supplemental income, and group fundraising. We also offer volunteer hours that would look great on a college application.
