Franklin Darryl Hayes has made history as the first African American president of the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) and was recently inducted into the Michigan Trapshooting Association Hall of Fame.
In 2022, at just 40 years old, he became the youngest person to hold this prestigious position. Hayes’ impressive achievements don’t stop there—he was also promoted to Deputy Chief of the Detroit Police Department in 2021.
We are proud to celebrate his accomplishments and leadership in both the ATA and the Detroit Police Department.
